A new addition to the
Pink Triangle/gay village scene that is described as
Newcastle's newest trendiest pub. The pub is easy
distinguishable with its colourful Switch logo
outside, above the main entrance. The glass windows
to the front give a bright and airy feel to the
place. The bar is decorated in a modern style with a
smart curved shaped bar and the floor partly
carpeted, wooden and tiled. The decor is a mixture
of mustard and maroon colours with a stylish
lighting system. There is plenty of seating
throughout with tables and chairs and high stools
along the bar. A small stage is located opposite to
the bar where the DJ booth is also situated. A large
drop down screen is also housed in this area showing
music videos. Regular music is on play at most times
with a DJ on most nights. To the rear of the pub
there is some games machines and the toilets can
also be found in this area. The pub attracts a mixed
clientele and should become increasingly popular
once it becomes firmly established. It should be
very busy on a weekend with. Disabled access to the
pub is very good with a designated disabled toilet.
Toilets are small and clean.
Price:
Moderate.
