Review:

Small corner pub that was formerly known as the "Barking Dog". The pub has a U shaped marble topped modern bar and a tiled floor. The decor is primarily of a modern style with purple and grey colours, and metallic fitments. By day the bar is bright and airy as there are windows to the front and side, although the metallic shutters may deter people from entering when pulled across. In the evening there is a more subdued atmosphere with blue lighting fixtures on the walls. There is limited metallic high seating around the bar and to the side of the pub. Regular music is on play at most times and a number of TV's and games machines are also dotted about. A karaoke evening is held Thursday - Sunday/ There is now a more upmarket feel to the pub and it is very busy at weekends and in the evening throughout the week. The pub attracts a mixed crowd of gays and straights. It can also get busy on match days and when live football is shown on the big drop down screen. Disabled access to main bar is very good as the bar is all on the one level. Toilets are smart and clean with metallic fixtures.

Price: Moderate.
